Ramalinga Raju is one of the pioneers of the IT industry in India. He is founder and chairman of Satyam Computer Services Ltd.

Ramalinga Raju, September 16, 1954 was born in a family of farmers. He did BA from Loyola College in Vijayawada in Andhra and later Ohio University, an MBA from the United States did. Ramalinga Raju had also a stint at Harvard. Harvard owner / President attended the course.

After returning to India in 1977, Ramalinga Raju moved away from traditional agricultural business and a spinning and weaving mill named Mr. Satyam established. . He then moved to the real estate business and started a construction company called Satyam Constructions. In 1987, Ramalinga Raju, one of his brothers in-law, with DVS Raju, Satyam established. The company went public in 1992 with the launch of Satyam Infoway (Sify) Satyam became the first Indian to enter the Internet service market. Today, the company has a global presence and serves 44 of the Fortune 500 and more than 390 multinational corporations.

Ramalinga Raju, has won numerous awards and honors. The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999, including for services, in 2000 the Dataquest IT guy, CNBC Asia Business Leader - 2002 and E & Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2007 in the Corporate Citizen of the Year award.

Satyam's ever-rising share prices led to a sharp decline in December 2008, a failed Maytas acquisition, Raju's family-owned company involved in the effort. He later admitted to major financial wrong doings in January 2009. He also resigned as chairman of Satyam. In Januray 2009, Raju net profit for last couple of years, confessed to his involvement in inflating. 7,800 crore fraud a poor quarterly performance started with an initial cover-up and mass ratio is assumed, over time.
