Jagdish Bhagwati Biography
Jagdish Bhagwati, professor of economics at Columbia University and a world-renowned economist, a university against critics of globalization is noted for his defense of free trade. He said that UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, former high-level advisory group member and director general of the World Trade Organization (WTO) for the external consultant. Born in Mumbai in 1934, the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in 1954 before moving to Mumbai for his PhD from Cambridge University graduate and post-graduate said. In 1961 he returned to India and the Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi School of Economics and has worked as a professor in 1968, returning to MIT, and Columbia University before moving on.
He is currently the Academic Advisory Board of Human Rights Watch (Asia) on functions and a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. His book, In Defense of Globalization, published in May 2004 and received widespread praise. He said the Indian Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000 and Padma Vibhushan awards in 2004.
He said many well-known newspapers and magazines is contributing to the article, in addition to writing several books. His famous books defending globalization, free trade today, one hundred days are included in a stream of wind and windows. He has received honorary degrees from several universities.
